[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] Aster took a small sip of her vanilla iced latte while she looked out the window of the moderately populated cafe. She sat near the entrance/exist of the building and the windows at that, too. Nothing was better than to take a break from the political world and for once try to blend in as a human being. Although, she had to follow the dress code and wore her light blue sash with the council's symbol stitched on it. Though, she still hoped there wouldn't be any intrusions into her break. [break][break] It wasn't so often she'd step out of her home other than to attend some political matters. As a matter of fact, she could've gotten one of her maids to fetch her some iced latte in the comforts of her own home in Era instead of coming here. Then again, she didn't mind taking in some fresh air compared to being cooped in her home as much as she could've. [break][break] It'd feel a little disappointing for her to take her leave once she finishes her drink, but alas, certain matters have to be addressed... or she could just stay here for a bit while she's still having a chance to breathe.

Yvel strolls leisurely avoiding the crowd without any care aiming for only a single destination in her mind. It has been a rigorous task for her maintaining the internal policy of the house Alder by herself, not only rigorous but also tiring. It is her long-awaited break where she doesn't want to get disturbed by the member of the house. A simple cafe place yet one of the places that Yvel has to recognize for their hot chocolate.
[break][break]
Steam flowing out from the glass she is currently holding as she looks for an empty chair for her to sit.
[break][break]
'What an ungrateful swine not giving up their place to me'
[break][break] She mutters to herself without changing her expression. She really wants to say that loudly, but that would make a scene and she wants to avoid that. Stopping her break short is the last thing she wants to do. Suddenly, her sight fixated on a woman who is wearing a kimono. She recognizes her face even from this afar which led her to approach her.
[break][break]
"Greeting Miss Villin, what a rare occasion for me to see you today. May I offer myself to be your companion in this lovely morning"
[break][break]
Aster Villin, one of the Arbiter in the council. A kind woman that contrast with the rumor on how she buys her way in to become the Arbiter. An underhanded method she knows really well since she uses it a lot in the past before she becomes the matriarch. Behind Yvel calm expression, she wants the rumor to be the truth. However, that can wait for now as this is her long-awaited break.

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] Aster took a quick glance from the window and whoever was talking to her. As much as she kept herself calm on the outside, on the inside she was just slightly annoyed. Her what hoped to be a solo break would turn into sharing it. Not that she minded having to converse, but just when she isn't trying to enjoy an iced latte by herself. [break][break] Her eyes slightly lit up in surprise when she realized who was before her. "My, my. The very same can be said to you too, Lady Alder. I'd be rude to say no on a smooth day in a cafe, so by all means." She greeted with a firm nod while giving a friendly smile. [break][break] She never knew the odds of meeting the matriarch of House Alder would slim down to meeting somewhere as casual as a simple cafe shop. Of course Aster had her own dirty secrets locked up, but she always wondered about the secrets the matriarch had. She may have a good image as deemed by the majority of the public, but not everyone, including Aster herself, were so perfect and flawless. [break][break] It's be unprofessional of her to try and pry into personal matters, however this was personal time, so no harm in curiosity getting in the way. "I would assume this day been treating you well so far? Attending to usual political matters?" She asked.

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] Without further ado, Yvel takes a sit and takes off her mask in front of her as she sips to her hot chocolate. She gauges the woman in front of her on her capabilities. However, there is no gap in her guard. As expected from an Arbiter such as her. She gives a wide smile to Miss Vilin, a courteous smile but still a smile. She has been handling a lot of people who are trying to dig someone's weakness from what other sees as a casual talk. [break][break] "It is a lovely morning, miss Villin. Politics will always have up and down, no one wants to be the bottom barrel even if it means resorting to bribery to achieve a certain status."
[break][break] Yvel doesn't have definitive proof that the rumor is true or not, however, she receives a chance to test the rumor as she vaguely mentions the rumor to see her reaction. Yvel keeps her courteous smile without changing her expression. [break][break] "But I am sure that you, as an Arbiter, are not a stranger to this kind of politic turmoil, right Miss Villin?"[break][break] She asked, smiling sweetly as she orders a dessert to accompany her hot chocolate. [nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] While Aster took a sip of her latte, she kept a straight face while the topic of bribery was mentioned. "Hmm." She hummed. It was all a familiar topic the woman was aware of, especially with all the accusations against her. They weren't false, but it wouldn't be a smart move to go on out and admit the dirt she did. [break][break] "Well, politics isn't exactly a walk in the park. It's all about power; who gets the final say, persuading others to go with their ideas and ideology, how Eos should function, etcetera. People would do whatever it takes to get that kind of sensation. I wouldn't be surprised if some people did buy their way into a powerful position, but I have some suspicions on who did." Aster admitted with a light shrug. [break][break] While Aster did more than utilize her connections just for bribery, it was something she'd rather keep at just that: bribery. It felt more or less of a lesser evil than other things she did. [break][break] "But... I will say that there's been an interesting... 'pattern' going on these last few years. There's been random disappearances all over, left and right. My suspicions are automatically locked on the Grimm Troupe. No doubt they're trying to make a statement, but..." Aster sighed in defeat as she took another sip of her latte. [break][break] "The world is just one ball of mystery."

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] "Hahaha, a mystery indeed" Yvel let out a small laugh, delighted hearing what Miss Villin just said. It still within her expectation that she also has done her own homework on her. Punishment is in session as she goes back to the house. [break][break] "To the crazy world known as politics, cheers!" She raises her cups cheering despite there is only hot chocolate in it. [break][break] "This would be more appropriate if it is a fine wine sadly. But since we are in our break lets enjoy each other's company without talking about that world"[break][break] Yvel let out a sigh as she letting down a bit of her guard as she sips the chocolate. The bitterness of the chocolate gives the magical taste on her tongue. Hot chocolate indeed the beverage of gods. [break][break] "Truly, a magnificent cafe. Makes me want to endorse this cafe just for the chocolate itself."

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] It was odd to make a cheer with coffee, chocolate, and inside of a cafe, but who was Aster to not make a cheer to politics? "Cheers." She said, raising her cup and nodding her head. "I'm not one to drink during the day, but even so I wouldn't cheer to that." She chuckled, still holding her friendly smile. [break][break] Her smile faded a little bit when she made a deep exhale. Taking another sip of her coffee, she placed it down and ran a hand through her hair. She stared at the woman across from her in deep thought for a moment before silently humming to herself. "It feels like there is no break when it comes to politics... it'll always come back around when way or another." She muttered. [break][break] "Well, I don't think anyone could stop you from doing that." Aster giggled. "This cafe deserves a lot more attention than it has now, and it'd be such a shame if many citizens of the public don't get to have a taste of what the cafe has to offer." She sighed. [break][break] "Have these days been treating you well? Everything going perfectly fine in House Alder?"
