At her admission of having been lost before, Rhyme chuckled. It was heartening to know that this place did befuddle people who were not used to it, and it was not just him.
"The Rosa district?" he echoed. What did he remember about the city's districts, again? This place, unless he had somehow wandered past the district lines--- and he supposed there'd probably be signs that would have told him if he was about to do so--- "Wait, we're in the Ordan district, right?" he asked.
"Rosa district is..." he tried to recall what he had been told. "...the rich place?" he sheepishly inquired. It looked like it, with Brighid confirming that the place was... expensive. "I'd probably never be able to afford a place there, haha."
"Work, huh..." To be honest, he wasn't quite sure yet what he could do that would earn him money in Eos. He supposed he could do all sorts of labor and perhaps some dangerous work since his aberration protected him from most physical threats... "I haven't found one, actually, yet. I'm mostly gathering my bearings for now... although it seems I might not be very good at that." he joked, in reference to his being lost.
Proof of education... When the girl mentioned that, Rhyme frowned. Not just education... he didn't really have any sort of identification or documentation on him, and he did not have any memory beyond his name, either. He probably wouldn't qualify for a lot of things. "Proof... I don't really have that..." He wondered if he should say more.
"What do you do for a living, Miss Brighid?" She must earn enough to have that place in Rosa, he surmised.
Lightly, he followed in the direction she lead.

Ferr Aesir
Let's go with the chase for more action? XD Maybe Rhyme is around the area and Ferr is off duty and around too and then someone runs off with something. Maybe we could do it in Hargeon? Or do you have other ideas? I'd like to reserve Rhyme experiencing the dilapidated parts of Eos for later. Shall I make the quest and/or thread?

Ferr Aesir
Floofy man! Merp, what do I put here... I just want a thread XD
Wanna do a quest together? Although by nature Ferr is much stronger (or more versatile?) than Rhyme at this point... could always not be combat-related... finding someone with Ferr's and Rhyme's detection skills?
Sorry if this isn't much, I don't have many bright ideas at this time >.< In any case, it would be nice if they're friends. It's nice to have good people. There are so many villains. XD

He could sense that there was something more that this... Larsa was not saying, that he was not just some sort of traveler--- there was something he was consciously holding back, although it did not seem like it was done out of malice. Rhyme supposed he would not call it out.
"I am Rhyme." he answered his introduction in kind. "I suppose I am a traveler as well, although I think I'll be staying around here for the time being." He'd divined that his best chance of finding out just who he was was inquiring around the academia--- which apparently was a whole portion of this gigantic city-state--- and so he would probably linger around. And if he would linger around he would need income and lodging, and the latter was why he was here...
"I was looking around just now for a place to stay. I've heard from a friend that there is affordable housing in these parts." It was a strange combination, a tourist spot that had low-cost apartments, but he supposed it was the case because not everybody liked being drenched all the time. Well, their loss.
"I suppose it wouldn't be the same without it." he acquiesced. "I was just mostly wondering if it would have been simpler to reroute it someplace else. I'm no expert in how these things are done, though... and I do prefer it like this."

His reverie was broken by the appearance of a man.
The man's appearance was... rather flamboyant. He had white hair, like his, but of much greater volume and length; and he had the rather colorful set of robes. He had come out of the blue to address him, which was a surprise in and of itself, although his variance allowed him to not look completely flabbergasted. He'd noticed the stranger's curiosity towards him as he had approached.
"Um... yes?" For all that his empathy and foresight afforded him all sorts of insight, they did not really do much in the face of talk and socialization. Words and thoughts were more complicated issues for his gut to process. At the very least, the man seemed to not have any untoward desires against him, and it wasn't like he was in a hurry, so he supposed he would humor him.
"It's very beautiful. The rain is particularly nice. Although I wonder if they really needed to let it fall from the lake above..." he found himself saying, scratching his cheek lightly with a single finger.
"Um... who are you, exactly?"

He felt her eyes and the curiosity that maneuvered them; for a moment, he was rather self-conscious. He knew that her intent, in those gazes, was to probe, but as his variance dealt mostly with feelings and impulses, it was not like he could find out what exactly she thought. At any rate, she didn't seem terribly displeased with his countenance--- it was a mostly neutral reaction.
Well, that was good eough, he supposed.
He nodded as she informed him she knew what the place--- or, well, the general area--- that he described. For a moment, he waited, wondering if she would take the lead, and then she supplied him with her name.
"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance too." he replied, returning the bow in kind; he did not know how courtesy worked exactly in Eos, so he supposed he would do as he saw others did, at least.
He raised his head to see her smile, which was something new and reassuring that he found himself smiling back. "From what I've seen, it is." he said. Of course, he had heard his friend's warnings of the... less savory parts of the megalopolis, but he supposed those didn't exactly count.
"It is ridiculously large, though." He chuckled. "But yes, I suppose I'll be staying." While he could probably survive in the wilderness, it was not exactly a comfortable existence, and besides, his best bet to figure out his identity was here.
"I suppose you live around here, too?" he found himself asking.

Hiiii. I've got a few wanted ads for characters that could interact with Rhyme.
1. The adventurers who found him in the ruin. I've kept vague how many these people are, and to be honest they can be quite optional, but it'll be nice to have them. At least one of them let Rhyme stay in their house somewhere in Ordan while he was looking for stable income and a place of his own. Beyond being adventurers and being generally nice people, these characters could be almost anything else.
2. People who may have an idea who Rhyme is. Or rather, who Rhyme looks like. They might be able to pinpoint that his face looks like and his name sounds like a certain mage during the monarchial oppression period who saved and freed victims of nobility, specially mutants. They might know this because they're history buffs or bards or whatnot, or maybe they are descendants of people who the mage had helped. He might have even inspired people to join the Grimm Troupe then (when it was mostly anti-tyranny and not just pro-anarchy).
For details, you can check out Rhyme's app and plotter, or just message me here or in Discord. This was Watcher~ Thanks for reading~

"Err, I guess you could say that." he nervously replied.
For all he knew he might've been to Eos, long ago, but without memories, it was as good as his first time; and so everything was strange and new to him, even if sometimes it seemed that some things were familiar or nostalgic in passing. It was all rather confusing.
"Ahaha, I suppose." Well, he'd been walking quite a lot, and perhaps he'd gotten engrossed for too long enjoying the sights that he didn't realize he was lost until much later.
There was still a flavor of hesitation in the woman's feelings that he could perceive, but it seemed she was curious about him, too. Well, at least she wasn't completely against the idea of helping him--- he would have excused himself if he was being too much of a nuisance already. That was at least reassuring, although he still hoped he wasn't too irritating.
"I think I could recall that, yes." he began. "It had a red roof and just one floor, of moderate size, I think? There were a bunch of similar houses in that area, too. I think it was some sort of housing district, if that's the right word for it?"
It had been mostly houses until it became roads and then it became gardens... cities were definitely something he would not underestimate from now on. He'd probably have to get a map or something.
"Again, I'm sorry for taking up your time. I'm Rhyme." He felt he should at least introduce himself.

This place is beautiful, Rhyme thought.
He wasn't sure what to think of it when it had been described to him, how it was a place underground where people live--- he had so many questions, like how it could be bearable to live there, without the sky above and the sun or the moon. His friend told him to see for himself, and he was understandably floored. Luminescent plants provided lighting; it was surprisingly spacious; and while it was different from living above ground it had its charm. Specially this particular portion of Byzel, the City of Tears.
He had come here because he'd heard that the most affordable housing was situated here; he did not expect to be treated to an exquisite scenery. Perhaps he was subconsciously biased--- one of his mutations was related to water, after all--- but he'd always liked the rain, and finding out that this place rained all the time was intriguing; seeing it for himself was a treat. Unlike some of the other people who perused the wet streets here, Rhyme did not wear a hood or sport an umbrella, content to get drenched in his clothes.
Ah, but he supposed he shouldn't dilly-dally around too much. Where were the apartments here again?

She... disliked his presence here.
Well, he supposed it was understandable; it looked like she wanted to read, and of course reading was usually done alone--- not to mention she was here when almost no one else was around. His expression morphed into a sheepish, wry grin as he felt her discomfort--- although he supposed he didn't need his variance to know that; her voice had trembled and she wouldn't look him in the eye, and that was clear enough body language.
He felt rather guilty that he had disturbed her, but then he would probably achieve no progress just meandering about by himself--- but then again, he had thought that he was in no hurry--- but he had already disturbed her, and it felt impolite to just leave like that--- murgh. He noted her scales and her claws with a passing glance, slightly curious, but felt that it might be too much to inquire about them.
"I'm sorry for the trouble." he ended up saying. "I was... staying in the house of a friend of mine? Somewhere close to here?" he began. If he could get to the point as quickly as possible, maybe he could reduce the pain for everyone involved. "...I thought I'd walk around, but well... suddenly I'm here." he finished. "I'm not even sure where here is..."
"So, uh, I guess I'm asking what direction the... houses are?"

He was lost.
Eos was... much, much larger than he could have anticipated. It was one thing to be told that it was large and yet another to experience it. He thought he'd try to familiarize himself with the area--- he'd woken up a little earlier than the people who had generously given him lodging. He'd promised he'd repay them some way or another when he'd managed to sort things out for himself, but it looks like he'd have to sort out just where he was first.
It being the early morning, there was barely any people in the roads--- he remembered the shock he got when he'd experienced the crowds before--- with his supernatural sense, which he had learned not everybody had, it added a lot more sensory overload, and crowds were flashy and noisy already in the first place. The lack of people was refreshing, but at the same time, it meant there was a distinct lack of people who he could ask for directions. Perhaps it had been truly been a mistake to sneak out at this hour.
That said, he wasn't really in a hurry, and if he had to wait for people to appear, to wake up, well, it probably wasn't much of a problem. This area that he'd managed to stumble upon was rather gorgeous; it was decorated with all sorts of colorful flowers and foliage, and while the forests and jungles he'd experienced before coming here had their own beauty, there was something quaint about the peacefulness in these tame denizens of nature. Here they could bloom without being trampled or eaten by animals, he supposed.
He blinked. Underneath a tree that had flowers of a pinkish color seemed to be a person--- he approached, slowly, quietly, squinting a bit. It was... a girl, reading. She felt... peaceful... or at least she was feeling peaceful. There was... something strange about her complexion, but perhaps it was just a quirk of her magic, just like how he was... well... different. At any rate, she was somebody he could talk to, somebody he could ask.
"Um, excuse me?" he began, tentatively. "Uh... I'm a bit lost, so..."

[nospaces] [attr="class","makeout"] [attr="class,"pucker"] rhyme [attr="class,"kiss"]< rhyme > O, Divine Master, grant that i may never seek...
[attr="class","ligayablock"] [attr="class","ligayatit"] < about >
[attr="class","ligayahead"]
[attr="class","ligayatext"]A bunch of adventurers found Rhyme asleep in a ruin, and when he woke up, he couldn't remember his past. What he doesn't know is that about a hundred years ago, there was a mage who went about saving people from monarchial oppression--- and he was one of those who that mage had saved. [break][break] However, in the last of that mage's efforts, he lost his life, and the mutant who would be Rhyme was overcome with grief, lost his memory, and took the appearance of the valiant mage, and entering a deep slumber that was undisturbed--- until now. [break][break] Without memories, Rhyme now seeks clues to his identity, even as he glimpses the past of the mage through vague dreams. Subconsciously, he continues the dream of that hero whose face he had adopted--- to protect and help those who are in need.
[attr="class","ligayablock"] [attr="class","ligayatit"] < friends >
[attr="class","ligayahead"]
[attr="class","ligayatext"]Rhyme is easy to be friends with--- he is amicable with most people, although he could be bashful at times with strangers. He very much cherishes relationships he makes with other people, as he is not the most outgoing person, and not having memories makes friends scarce. His possible friends right now might only be the adventurers who found him in the ruin. [break][break] As he is now, practically speaking, he is looking for possible ways to earn money--- amnesiacs don't usually have existing jobs, and so he could end up befriending people who could employ him, or who would work with him. While he has yet to fully remember what he could do with magic, his mutations make him good at surviving and perceiving things, talents which could be useful. [break][break] He could also encounter other people as he is looking for clues to his identity--- he would be asking around academia and other places that keep records if they had any information about somebody with his face. Maybe there would be someone there who would have information about a vigilante mage in ages past...
[attr="class","ligayablock"] [attr="class","ligayatit"] < enemies >
[attr="class","ligayahead"]
[attr="class","ligayatext"] The amnesiac doesn't go about looking for trouble, per se, and his mild personality means he is patient enough to not be taunted into conflict, but if someone is harming or taking advantage of somebody, and he caught wind of it, he would be immediately concerned of it, and if there is anything he could do about it, he would. [break][break] As such, Rhyme's enemies would naturally be criminals--- whether they be nobles, such as those from House Alder, who seek to exploit people, or the Grimm Troupe who cause destruction and mayhem, or even corrupt people from the authorities. The only question is if he could figure them out, as at the present, he is woefully ignorant of the world of the present. [break][break] That said, Rhyme believes in second and third and more chances, and he believes that people who do evil things are merely misguided; he believes people are inherently good. He will always try to convince these people to change their way of life, and he will subdue but never kill. It remains to be seen if he would meet somebody adamant and depraved enough to change this point of view.
[attr="class","ligayablock"] [attr="class","ligayatit"] < lovers >
[attr="class","ligayahead"]
[attr="class","ligayatext"]Rhyme is a bit busy right now with figuring himself out to actively look for a girl to be in a romantic relationship in. Nonetheless, Rhyme is not the sort of person who does flings and casual relationships, and any budding attraction between him and another person he would tackle seriously. [break][break] ( Quote is from the Prayer of St. Francis. )
