The Leomagne Clan were always devout to trying to take control of the non-human beings that traversed the world. Avalon is no different. When she rose in the ranks, her control over a specter became an interesting topic. Enma, as she named it, is a hulking specter that habitually appears around the prison (though it’s linked to Avalon’s being, so it appears at random intervals).

With an estimated height of 670 centimeters (20 feet), Enma is an intimidating skeletal being. The bones that make up its body are a dark shade of red, sometimes appearing bright red in moments of magical combat. Its eyeholes radiate a bright red essence, which moves around as it tries to locate whatever it needs. More notably, a red mist permeates from its body at all times, even while in its “docile” state. For clothing, it wears a cloak over itself, which are fashioned with several chains and regalia, as if it was a noble of some sort.

When it appears for combat, an array of different weaponry appears. Commonly, several matchlocks and swords appear for Avalon to utilize. Yet, Enma has been known to produce axes, spears, arrows, and explosive materials. Avalon has even stated that a cannon has appeared a few times (it’s her favorite). When Enma attacks itself (such as during Black Hand or World Born Dead), it carries an uchiganta that’s comparable to its size.

Avalon and Enma share an interesting relationship. Avalon states that they’re striving to kill one another, but they typically have an amicable disposition towards one another. Enma will bring things to Avalon, protect her instinctively, and has even done minute things like fix the hat on her head. Meanwhile, Avalon states her utmost confidence in the specter, saying that without Enma, she wouldn’t have gotten as far as she does. Another piece of proof to their relationship is how Avalon refers to him by Old Man Enma by default.

In battle, the two operate as a fearsome duo. Avalon herself is strong enough to have reached the Warden rank and holds an intimidating presence on the entire Trench. Many prisoners say that they bet money she could take anyone if they made the mistake of coming to the prison. To some credit, Avalon and Enma carry an immense advantage to their knowledge of its architecture and infrastructure. Even more, they know how to use their abilities to the fullest in the prison environment. For example, the Red Army excels inside the prison because of how many vessels Enma can use for their needs.

[attr="class","nodensheader"]FAMILIAR ABILITIES [attr="class","nodensmagleft"] [attr="class","nodensmagleft2"] - Kusanagi / The Lifeending Blade - A symbol of Enma and Avalon's connection, which serves as Avalon's main weapon of choice. A double sided blade ordained with a black sheen, it has the ability to link with many of Enma's properties. It can emit the Red Mist to poison and debilitate foes. It's also sharper than average blades. Yet, the legend of it says that the longer that Avalon uses it, the more that it will whittle away at her mental state. Accoding to research, the blade itself is a purely ethereal conception, brought on by Enma's magic.
- Zakarashi / Red Mist - Potentially the most dangerous part of Enma's existence. If summoned for long periods of time, Enma will continue to fill space with the mist that it naturally radiates. This mist has the ability to drive individuals mad with violent intent and slowly exhaust them of their strength. Avalon refers to it as making men go into a violent dance that will only die to stop. Avalon may have resistance but she is not immune to its effects.
- The Red Army - Enma has a limited ability to raise the remains of the dead and animate them. It does it out of its own free will. Avalon despises this trait as the skeletons are not her minions. They will follow Enma and potentially turn on her once they're done following orders.
- Override - Avalon speaks of Enma's ability to take control of weak-willed individuals. She uses this as an interrogative method if a subject is being too resistant to her "normal" practices. Avalon will take off one of her black gloves and it glows red before she clutches the victim's temple. Avalon calls it a useless ability because it only works if Enma is particularly interested in what a subject has to say. The chance of it working is 1 out of 500 times.

Avalon, using any of Enma's bladed weapons, takes a slice at an enemy. Shortly after the initial slice by Avalon, Enma will mimic the action. She can use this in many different methods, but she tends to use it to extend her range and deal massive damage, due to Enma's size and strength. The drawback to it is that Enma has no consideration for location and positioning.

Avalon, with Enma's help, will flood the room with the Red Mist. It's usually an effort against multiple opponents as it will cause them to turn on one another. The most important part of it is that it's one of the few times that Enma and Avalon are on the same terms. As such, Enma creates a skeletal mask over Avalon's mouth to prevent her from taking in any of the Red Mist pollutating the area.

Enma tears off a limb and imbues it onto Avalon, giving her a temporary buff to both her defense and her attack range. Additionally, the "enhancement" allows Avalon to send out red waves of magic, granting her a ranged attack beyond just the spectral guns that appear.

Avalon calls this spell her ultimate technique. It begins by Avalon stabbing herself with the Kusanagi. After which, her body begins to radiate a red aura. A secondary skeleton will wrap around her body before creating a black and red armor with six arms. In this state, Avalon's strength fuses with Enma's, allowing her to deal tremendous damage without any drawback, due to the skeletal armor. The six arms also allow her to carry multiple weaponry to overwhelm opponents. Yet, the most horrific piece of this ability is that Enma temporarily grants Avalon his control over the Red Army and total immunity to the Red Mist. Avalon states that she never had to use this ability except for one time. She has informed the Council that the drawbacks to herself, individuals around her, Enma, and the environment are things of nightmares. Thus, Avalon has been ordered only to use this ability as a last-ditch effort. |

Avalon vi Leomagne, the youngest daughter of the now missing Leomagne Clan, appeared one day and offered her life to the Council. What could a girl from a family of criminals wish to do inside of the Council? She wanted to work in the prison. When allowed to, she made reforms in ways that the public could never know about, but it produced results. Rehabilitation of prisoners reached a newfound high, where many that were released went back into Eos perfectly functional. Avalon rose through the ranks, stopping many escapes and break-ins. Soon enough, the young woman found herself as the Warden, realizing the first step to her dream. Unfortunately, that thoughts that blessed her minds were nightmares for the prisoners.

Though she carries herself with the same professionalism that other members of the Council would, Avalon displays raw malice for anyone she would deem a criminal. Her view of the world is inherently monochromatic, with very few shades of gray that would dare enter her field of vision. Many prisoners that suffer the brunt of her methodologies would sooner call her the worst criminal in the prison. Smarter prisoners can see that her cruelty only extended to those with more severe charges. Nevertheless, her lack of awareness towards potential false charges attributed to the development of some nasty rumors.

She may as well be a puppet of the Council, but does the idea of being manipulated bother Avalon?

Avalon’s temperament can be described as disturbingly cheerful. She approaches her work with a pep in her step and sews herself to the principles of the Council to a fault. If there was an award for team spirit, Avalon would be in the front running. Every job she completes is done to exceptional quality. Orders are followed swiftly and without question. Moreso, she tends to stay in her lane, not trying to advance past where she has gotten. In common conversation, her humor is offbeat, yet it’s found in a genuine want to connect with others. She’s even quite sincere when it comes to personal issues if one wishes to engage with her in that capacity. Quintessically, Avalon is the template for a perfect soldier, if you forgive her penance for the macabre.

Within the prison, Avalon executes all acts with a coldness that borders on evil. Any obstruction to her orders registers as extreme insubordination. Thus, she imposes rough tortures to dissect the problems of a rebellious prisoner. Beyond that, she doesn’t appear to hide such a fact about herself. Her pride in her handiwork is the most problematic and fearsome part about her. She takes her work of dolling out punishments as an artist does when they present their latest piece.[break][break]
All in all, Avalon vi Leomagne is a slave to her work. It’s what brings her happiness, but she cares not of what misfortune that happiness brings to others.
