He'd been more careful of his wandering these days, after the last time he got lost. Still, he wanted to see the various sights that Eos had to offer, and seeing them was free, costing only time and a bit of walking around... although he supposed there was the airship fare... scratch that, seeing the different districts was cheap. Besides, maybe he could find a job opportunity somewhere here...
Again, perhaps because of his aberration, it seemed he was attracted to water; while the last time it had been in the form of the rain of the City of Tears, this time it was the sea, the waves upon the harbor. The salty smell and the refreshing wind were invigorating, at least in his opinion. The ships and the people were also interesting to watch, as they loaded and unloaded crate after crate, package after package, from places far away, across the water. There were also passengers boarding and alighting, and some of them seemed like foreigners--- while he had not been in Eos long enough to know exactly what was usual, there were some people who simply seemed different. Exotic, even. Could he have been from somewhere far away?
He was enjoying watching the spectacle, the hustle and bustle, and plotting his next course--- maybe going to the dock management's office to see what things he could do for them and how much they would pay him--- when he heard a cry among the workers, the sound of trouble.
"Help! Thief!"
Abruptly, immediately, he moved to see what was going on.

was a valuable treat to the Knight Captains who worked day in and day out of the office and the routes. Many times the Knights could find that the Captains slept in their offices, and not their barracks. Why was this? It was dedication. That is why Ferr chooses not to spend his days off in his district. The man needs a break once in a while from being the good guy. It pays off to blend in with the population and see things going on and moving along without your titles lingering overhead. He even wore civilian-like clothing. "Civilian-like" because he still looked like a warrior. A kilt and knee-high boots of marone color with silver trims. Topped with a tabard of white and yellow with a sun hovering over the number "42". The minatour-like man stood on the docks and watched the waves pass by. The strong nanoether in air had fully charged his horns this morning. The two iron-like extremadies were glowing crimson but radiated no heat. They were just filled with magic, ready to blow off at any moment. "This might be a good spot." Ferr suggested to himself. The area was not crowded, and there was just a bit of overcast coming over the horizon. But that is when Ferr heard the cries for help. With a deep sigh, he ran towards the commostion with such speed, that not even a charging bull could match. "What is wrong?! Knight Captain Ferr! No body move!" The man shouted loud, almost as if his voice ran from a horn blown by an even larger man. ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

He deftly made his way through the throng of people, of laborers and sailors; it helped that he could perceive where they were moving or if they were going to remain standing still. As soon as he got through the crowd he managed to see what was going on; one of the workers had been the one who shouted, and he was pointing to... a rather absurd sight.
A couple of men were down on the ground; perhaps they had been in the way, or they were security that tried to stop what had happened, but the hallmark of the situation was the problem itself. A lone man, the thief, muscular, forehead and mouth covered in bandannas, was running away... but what made his getaway absurd was what he had in his hands. He had... a stack of three crates. Three very large crates.
For all that the man was basically a burglar, the feat of running with a pile of crates was... impressive. Rhyme had to give that to him. Nonetheless, he wouldn't be letting him get away, and he prepared to run again, having only stopped to catch his breath and assess the situation...
...and then another voice cut through the din. A... Knight Captain? That sounded like some sort of authority, and the voice belonged to... a rather hulking man with horns. A fellow mutant, then? And the people didn't seem to question his appearance, even if he didn't wear any sort of uniform... and from what Rhyme could privately perceive, he seemed to be earnest in his concern of the situation.
"Sir!" he shouted, waving, in an attempt to quickly get the attention of the bull-man. "He's getting away! I'm going to try to stop him!"
"Careful!" shouted one of the dock workers. "Those crates contain fragile items! Don't just tackle him!"
"Ah, sheesh, sounds like this'll be more difficult that I thought it would be..." Rhyme grumbled, but he'd dawdled long enough. He immediately began to give chase.

defeated and a bandit on the run. It seemed like a typical low-level theft. In the books Ferr would not right down anything of note for this event...Except that mysteirous theif ran with ease while carrying three of those crates! Good Stars did he have to be strong. Spicing up the crime even more was what appeared to be a young man giving chase. The stranger called out to Ferr, warning him of the thief's escape. "Wait!" Ferr called out, but by the time Ferr got the words out, the good Samaritan was already running away. The bull-man looked to the merchants and crew before bowing his head. "You have my word, I'll get your things back." Ferr looked back to the two running men and began to join them with a trot. Clattering and slamming boots bent the wooden planks beneath his frame. His speed and running power caused Ferr to quickly gain grown. His running form was somewhere between an athlete and an animal. "Stand down now or face maximum penalty!" As the trio ran, two after the one, Ferr began to hum rhymeiclly; in tandem with his running and breathing. Doing so, he began to develope a sense for the surrounding area. Shortly after, he began to catch up to the other mutant. Ferr became curious when the stranger did not register on his mental map. Is this person a projection? Or are they...? Ferr was curious about the individual, and wanted to investigate him. Maybe after this. The Man-bull warned his impromptu partner as they became neck and neck in their chase. "You do this city a good service. But don't do anything too reckless. That's your only warning. That being said, as Knight Captain I authorize you to use minimal force while aiding in the capture of this suspect." ISHY of THQ & ADOXOGRAPHY

The chase was on, and as to be expected, Rhyme had yet to catch up to the crate thief. The marauder was as quick as he was strong and well-balanced, and so he had yet to gain on him. At the same time, however, the gap between them was something Rhyme kept constant, never widening; he might not possess any particularly magical feats of speed, but his quarry didn't seem to have any, either, and he wouldn't back down in effort and stamina.
As it was, it was a stalemate. Rhyme racked his brain for possible ways to close the gap between them, looking at his surroundings--- the various buildings and assorted items and machinery one could find in the general vicinity of the docks--- and it was then that the taurine officer caught up to him, with all haste. He shouted at the person, ordering him to desist, but as to be expected, the man persisted in escaping.
He regarded the knight in his peripheral vision, even as he kept track of the running criminal. He was called... Ferr, right? He detected a note of curiosity from him, for some reason, and he was... humming? Was it some sort of ability of his? What did it do? Well, he could ask later, or at least he hoped the man would tell him if it was something he should know. As for the thief, he could only detect one simple note from him: he wanted to escape, and he was beginning to get frustrated at their tenacity.
"I won't be reckless." he answered, tersely. It's nice to have permission. he joked in his thoughts, but he didn't think he had time to jest right now... and...
"He's turning left at the corner!" Rhyme called even before the man swerved, and even as the criminal was surprised at the foretelling of his actions, the chase was a little too high-speed for him to change course. The empathic mutant moved preemptively, and in so doing cut a little of the distance between him and the runaway.
Ferr Aesir Feel free to make the criminal do something, like use magic, to deter Rhyme and Ferr XD

Ferr nodded, thankful for Rhyme's help. It was an interesting ability to have. A good one for this situation! The large man began to bank left, his strides being long, Ferr had to cling to the side of the building as he corrected his tragectory. If not, he would have blown right past the turn. He looked on as the theif began to knock over barrels and any other loose items, trying to keep the two prosuers off his trail. This new alley was sadly filled with enough liter to do the job. "Damn it. I will use the full might of the law you villian!" Ferr noted the theif was shifting their body around, almost trying to decide which direction to go in to try and throw them off. It was throwing Ferr's aim off, however the excess movement was allowing Rhyme and himself to gain some ground. His sonar-like ability picked up a parallel pathway behind the small buildings next to them. Ferr was no one to praise causing collateral damage, but if he could pay to get the walls repaired later, he will. Taking in a deep breath, the horned man looked at Rhyme. "Don't do this ever." With that, Ferr hastened his pace, putting more power behind his stride and less speed. Breaking right, the minotaur-man broke through the wooden alleyway wall, rushed through a humble home, " Sorry!", and picked up the pace. Now parallel to Rhyme and the thief. The thief was surprised and took a quick pause when they turned to notice Ferr had crashed through the wall. This allowed Ferr to close the distance by a fair amount on the other side of the wall. The thief took notice of Rhyme, however, and decided to try and distract him. Shifting the crates he had stolen, he slid one into an open hand before chucking the cargo to the pursuer. The white-haired man jumped over each little obstacle the thief left in his wake. He hopped over barrels and benches and all sorts of things that the criminal toppled purposely in their wake. If this chase hadn't been a grievous and urgent matter, he could possibly even say that he was having fun.
The captain spoke; it seemed he was... going to try something, which he warned Rhyme to... not try. He simply nodded, keeping his eyes on their fugitive. Wait, was he really going to... he did. He went through a house. ...I don't think I can do that even if I wanted to, Captain Ferr. Rhyme thought to himself.
He moved further and faster, seeing the man pause at the surprising move the officer did to close the distance. The thief, deciding that he needed to lessen the amount of his pursuers, moved to throw one crate at him--- apparently the loss of one of the things he'd been running off with was enough of a trade for a distraction--- but Rhyme was ready. Moving slightly slower, he braced himself, and caught the crate.
"Thanks for returning this one!" he taunted, grinning, even as he kept his pace. The man tsk'ed, angry that his gambit failed, although in a certain sense he did manage to slow Rhyme down. His hands were full now, though...
"Captain Ferr?" Ah, there, a surprised guard on patrol, who recognized the behemoth of a man. Maybe that was enough to trust him; from what he picked up of his emotions he seemed to instinctively trust Ferr anyway.
"Could you take care of this? We're trying to catch that guy. Also, be careful, it's fragile." He explained quickly even as he handed over the crate with all haste.
"W-wha?"
Not waiting for the man's confirmation, he rejoined the chase, although this time he was the one behind.
Meanwhile, the running man turned his attention to the closer of his pursuers, the minotaur man. Shifting his burden so as to use only one hand and arm to carry the whole stack, he flicked his freed limb with significant force to send a projectile of force and air towards the horned mutant's face.
