[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] Aster heaved a heavy sigh as she arrived at the door of her own home. Day and night she would work to attend political matters and at this moment was the time for her to take a break. The political world, to say the least, was an interesting one. There were a few people she would definitely like to be on her side and others would be the same case, just to get a better understanding of their intentions and tear them down at ease. While it's interesting, it can also be extremely exhausting. Which is exactly why she came home to get a long day's rest. [break][break] As she unlocked the door, Aster smoothed herself inside to close the door behind her. What immediately caught her off guard was one thing, or person she should say; a person lying comfortably on her couch as if it was their own couch in their own home. Immediately she thought it was an intruder and should respond to such a situation, but her alertness turned into slight annoyance as she recognized who the figure was. [break][break] Styliani Marinou. [break][break] Words weren't enough to describe who this woman was nor Aster's initial reaction when she first met the woman. She was far from what a standard Arbiter would behave, yet she was somehow a breath of fresh to the political world. Preppy, energetic, extremely friendly, and childlike As a matter of fact, she wasn't as surprised with the other Arbiter breaking into her home given her personality. She was annoyed, as expected. [break][break] Of course Aster believes there was a darker side to this innocent front with someone so unusually positive. It wasn't often they'd meet eye to eye and only occasionally see each other with how much work they do. In fact, she always wanted to know what Styliani was like behind the position. [break][break] Walking to the sofa where the other Arbiter lied, Aster laid a hand on the center of her head. She gave it a soft rub, as if petting her with a sweet smile plastered on her lips. "I see you've gotten very comfortable on this sofa... I'll admit I'd have my days of sleeping on it instead of my own bed... I wouldn't even blame you for wanting to sleep on it..." She whispered. [break][break] "...But..." Aster then curled her hand inwards as she harshly grabbed her hair. "It's a shame it's not yours, let alone deciding to break into my own home."

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] An elbow was on the table and Aster's chin resting on the palm of her hand while her fingers gently tapped near her plate; Turkey Club Roulades. An all time favorite dish to eat during the lunch hours, and it was the same thing she ordered for a very special someone. Hopefully they wouldn't mind. Inhaling through her nose, she released a small sigh. The scent of the food before her was driving her crazy, but she had to be patience. She was a woman who loved her job, loved getting through paperwork even if it could be tiresome, meetings, and other plans that she believed that could drive her closer to her own personal gains. This time, however, wasn't the case. Well, entirely the case to say the least. [break][break] She was on a lunch break, but she wouldn't dare do it alone. Isolation was okay, but why not spend that time with someone else? That thought made Aster do the initiative of inviting someone over to have lunch with her. There were a lot of options she could've chosen from to share her lunch break with. Some that she'd enjoy herself talking to, others she'd find interesting, and a few she'd regret to invite if they meant ruining her relaxation. But, there was one person she immediately had in mind to have lunch with. [break][break] The Warden, Avalon vi Leonmange. Nothing made her more prouder and her heart warmer than someone who showed such a desire to bring even the most unpleasant and vile criminals behind bars. Aster had always admired the Warden's determination and pride for justice. She also admired the loyalty she not only displays for the council as a whole, but for Aster as well on some personal matters. It would be perfect to get to know some council members on a personal level, especially someone like the Warden herself. [break][break] Maybe she could explain about her intentions of "reshaping" the council. [break][break] And speak of the devil. Aster turned her attention to the door where the Warden just entered into the room alongside announcing her arrival. The woman flashed a genial smile at the Warden as she addressed her. "With enthusiasm like that, I think it should be an honor for me to be in your presence. And no need for the honorifics, dear. Call me Aster. I'd prefer to take a break from such things if we aren't talking about serious matters in the real world." She giggled. [break][break] Aster motioned a hand towards the seat across from her with her other arm. "Please, have a seat. I... didn't exactly know what you wanted, a dismay on my part for not asking what you've wanted, but hopefully you'll enjoy this meal of Turkey Club Roulades!" She reassured with a confident nod. "I hope your day is going well like mine. So far, at least. It must be exhausting being in the Trench for almost the whole day.. but I don't think I'd want any other Warden if they don't show the same dedication as you do."

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] This was one stubborn man that was just so determined to try and take such a weapon away from Aster. She took a calm but heavy deep breath as she continued to keep her cool. She wasn't going to just give out just yet, but she'd only hope things wouldn't escalate further than what was going on now. Not that she wouldn't mind if it did. With her position, she'd receive better aid from bystanders. Hopefully, at least. [break][break] "Well, the determination for this sword is admirable. Although, I'm afraid to announce that I've already bought the sword for free from the courtesy of this fine gentleman right here." Aster said with a friendly grin, tilting it to the left for effect while her grip on the hilt tightened. It already felt obvious that neither of them had any desire to give up the sword and wouldn't any time sooner. But there was no reason to worry. [break][break] Aster's smile widen a little "How about I give you back your gift so you can get your own sword and I can go ahead and take something that was already mine in the first place?" She offered. [break][break] "We wouldn't want things to go further south now, would we?"

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] Myria of Blades[break][break] I'm down with either or but I'd see Aster calling in Myria for another job, most likely taking care of someone that she feels needs to be out of the way (or something else if you want). I'm not too sure if that has to be a quest, but we can also do it the ol' fashion way of threading! [nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] Avalon vi Leomagne[break][break] Avalon would be one of the fewest people Aster would trust if she doesn't question her methods/intentions, even if she does find out about some of her secrets. I'd imagine she wouldn't mind doing some heavy and shady work Aster wants done and would through a few jobs at her way. Buuuut because I'm already considering doing a job thread/quest/doohickey elsewhere, maybe a casual thread could do? Maybe Aster could unveil her true intentions (although being coated so she wouldn't be too explicit) to her? Unless you have somethin' else in mind. o-b

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] Considering Aster is always looking for more connections that could do some dirty work for her, it's definitely possible she and Myria met a few times. It'd most likely be someone trying to tarnish her image/expose her secrets with the rumors circulating around her, but I don't think the specifics matter lol. Aster wouldn't try to disclose any explicit intentions from the council (and/or at least her intentions), but maybe with a persistent consistency she wouldn't mind spilling a few things vaguely. [break][break] Altough being a secret Grimm Troupe leader, Aster would always say snarky things about the faction. Maybe these two could always debate about the faction or whether anarchy is good or not. Other than that, I think these two can get along in a way. o-b

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] With the waiter taking down the champion's order, he gave the two women a courteous nod and small smile before he would head off to the kitchen to give the chef their orders. [break][break] Meanwhile, Aster planted both elbows on the table and resting her chin in between her hands, basically cupping her face. "Nonsense. Interesting or not, I'd still like to know the person wearing the title... AND the person I'm working with." She explained with a shrug. "But..." She trailed off for a moment, at the moment currently talking to herself in ponder before continuing. There were a few questions she wanted to ask, she just didn't know where to start. [break][break] "Well for starters, tell me what made you get into the league. Was it just for the hell of it or is it something deeper than anyone would expect?" Aster cooed with a grin. It was most likely one of the biggest questions she wanted to know about, but she wasn't expecting anything shocking if it weren't the case of something she wouldn't expect.

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] The man was very persistent with wanting to get this sword, much to Aster's internal annoyance as the tip of the blade lowered its direction. Still, she kept her friendly smile, although it did shrink a little from the action. The life of politics taught her very well to suppress the amount of frustration she'd like to express. [break][break] Hmm... this man really wants this weapon. Pity. [break][break] Meanwhile, the merchant, who was already beginning to sweat out of fear and confusion, and Aster glared at the pouch presented for a few minutes before the woman casually reached for it with her free hand to grab it from the man's palm. "And I think this would make a lovely donation to centers that aid the homeless of our city." She chirped, widening her smile. "Surely, you have other weapons to offer this fine gentleman, yes?" She asked. [break][break] The merchant shifted his eyes between both the Arbiter and the silver haired man. "U-Uh... y-yes! I do! I t-think." He muttered with nervous laughter. "I-I could always give you another weapon that operates similarly to this one, y-yes?"

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] Her smile faltering do to an interruption from someone else, Aster turned her head around to a long haired man whose hand was pointing at her. She eyed the man when he wanted the sword that she now rightfully owned. It was rather an odd gesture, considering that there were other weaponry that would fit his tastes. [break][break] It didn't take long for her to figure out who was standing before her, but Aster didn't want to point out the detail just yet. She only cracked a small smile at the thought while she drew the sword away from the merchant and pointed it towards the long haired man. [break][break] "What a shame. I need it more." Aster said in a mockingly pitiful voice, pouting. She then laid the sword by her side and ran a hand through her hair. "But, I'm sure there are other weaponry you can buy that may match what you want, because this sword right here," She paused for a moment to raise the sword back up and resume pointing it at the merchant. "Is all mine."

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] "Hmm." [break][break] Wearing her usual blue sash to signal her authority and position as an Arbiter, Aster inspected the regular blade before her; front to back, its sharpness, and design. It was nothing more than a simple sword, at least appearance wise it was. She was doing some shopping on new weaponry to further her defense in combat, but her luck wasn't going as much as she anticipating it to be. "And you said it can do... what exactly again?" She asked, her eyes now glaring at the merchant who claimed the sword was a rare artifact. [break][break] "Oh, it does a lot than it seems, Ms. Arbiter ma'am!" The merchant chirped while clapping his hands together in enthusiasm then motioned his hands at the weapon. "It can easily manipulate drawn blood to sharpen the blade. The more blood it has, the more likely it can cut through almost any material!" He explained. [break][break] Aster perked a brow upwards, a smirk appearing on her lips. Her senses knew he was lying, but even so they weren't needed to know that the merchant was trying to scam the woman for money. "Interesting. So if I were to, let's say, jab this straight through your chest with the blood on the blade," She paused to point the blade directly at the merchant's chest. "It'd increase the sharpness?" She asked. [break][break] "...Y-Yes! Indeed it will! W-Which is why you will be getting it for free! By all means necessary! Take it if you want!" The merchant blurted out. [break][break] With a satisfied nod, Aster gave a friendly smile at the now nervous merchant. "Why, what great customer service you have. I think this sword will have great use in battle. Thank you... now let's see what other weapons you have." She said.

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] "Beautiful! It looks like things are official now, you'll now be under my management for endorsement." Aster cheered as she took the signed paper and pen and stuck it back into the briefcase. Setting the briefcase next to her seat, she looked back at the champion while maintaining her smile. [break][break] "Well, we're in a restaurant after all. It wouldn't make sense to have a meeting without having a meal to fill up our stomachs now, would it?" She asked while picking up a menu card and opened it. [break][break] "And while we're here with our meals, I could use this time to get to know you a little better. Since I'm endorsing you, I think it'd be expected for us to meet a little more often and see who I'm really talking to behind that champion title." Aster explained. Putting the menu card down, she rose a hand to call over a waiter to place in her order. [break][break] "Ah yes, I'd like to order rice with honey garlic teriyaki sauce." She said, pointing at the menu before closing it. While the waiter took down the woman's order, he'd then await for the champion to make an order of her own, assuming that she would.

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] It was odd to make a cheer with coffee, chocolate, and inside of a cafe, but who was Aster to not make a cheer to politics? "Cheers." She said, raising her cup and nodding her head. "I'm not one to drink during the day, but even so I wouldn't cheer to that." She chuckled, still holding her friendly smile. [break][break] Her smile faded a little bit when she made a deep exhale. Taking another sip of her coffee, she placed it down and ran a hand through her hair. She stared at the woman across from her in deep thought for a moment before silently humming to herself. "It feels like there is no break when it comes to politics... it'll always come back around when way or another." She muttered. [break][break] "Well, I don't think anyone could stop you from doing that." Aster giggled. "This cafe deserves a lot more attention than it has now, and it'd be such a shame if many citizens of the public don't get to have a taste of what the cafe has to offer." She sighed. [break][break] "Have these days been treating you well? Everything going perfectly fine in House Alder?"

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] While Aster took a sip of her latte, she kept a straight face while the topic of bribery was mentioned. "Hmm." She hummed. It was all a familiar topic the woman was aware of, especially with all the accusations against her. They weren't false, but it wouldn't be a smart move to go on out and admit the dirt she did. [break][break] "Well, politics isn't exactly a walk in the park. It's all about power; who gets the final say, persuading others to go with their ideas and ideology, how Eos should function, etcetera. People would do whatever it takes to get that kind of sensation. I wouldn't be surprised if some people did buy their way into a powerful position, but I have some suspicions on who did." Aster admitted with a light shrug. [break][break] While Aster did more than utilize her connections just for bribery, it was something she'd rather keep at just that: bribery. It felt more or less of a lesser evil than other things she did. [break][break] "But... I will say that there's been an interesting... 'pattern' going on these last few years. There's been random disappearances all over, left and right. My suspicions are automatically locked on the Grimm Troupe. No doubt they're trying to make a statement, but..." Aster sighed in defeat as she took another sip of her latte. [break][break] "The world is just one ball of mystery."

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] Aster chuckled at the waitress's enthusiasm of her being remembered. She'll admit that it felt a little odd since they rarely, if not have ever, had any verbal exchanges with each other. Yet, she still managed to remember her face and very clearly at that. Though, it wasn't much to worry about so she only shrugged off the unknown reminiscence. [break][break] "Well, what can I say? If I see a pretty face, it stays in my head as long as it could." She said with a playful wink, sitting on her bed in front of her food. The gesture may be seen as inappropriate, given her position, but she only assumed that the waitress wouldn't mind. [break][break] Aster's own eyes widen in realization as she made a snap with her fingers "Oh! I think I may actually remember you. I don't think we've actually said anything to each other, but we would only look at each other whenever I've made my visits. ...I wonder why is that." She trailed off for a moment, as if lost in her own thoughts, while she stared at the waitress. [break][break] She shook her head to bring herself back to reality and waved a hand to dismiss the thought. "Ah well, the world works in mysterious wonders." She said with a shrug. "Anywho, do you think you have some time to spare with me? I don't think I can eat all of this on my own." She asked, gesturing over to the table of food that have yet to be revealed.

Although her appearance look entirely human, she does have a wolf tail that's often hidden and rarely recognizable with the help of both her kimono and her self-discipline, being able to control her wagging. She also has sharp canine teeth that can easily pierce and rip skin with one rough bite and amber eyes resembling an actual wolf. [break][break] While she has wolf-like traits by appearance, her senses has heightened on a more supernatural level, mainly her scent, sight, and hearing. Aster is able to pick up even the smallest of whispers or other sounds if she focuses long enough. She's also able to filter out various noises to focus on a specific sound, but can make her very susceptible to loud noises. She's also able to use her nose to track down people by scents, being able to distinguish each individual's scent at ease. Aster's heightened smell gives her access to detect when people are lying through the use of smelling pheromones when a lie is being told. Her eyesight is crystal clear, being able to make out every single detail of an object or a person's features such as their face. [break][break] As her senses are heightened, so is her speed, durability and endurance are within a superhuman spectrum. Her strength, however, is still at a human level.

[nospaces] [attr="class","opmind"] [attr="class","opmindblurb"] [attr="class","opmindblurb1"] Aster lazily opened an eye as she heard a knock on her door about room service. She could've sworn she didn't order any room service, unless it was just on the behalf of the hotel. Even so, Aster was certain they wouldn't just give her it when she didn't ask for it in the first place. [break][break] Well, she wouldn't say no to some free food. [break][break] Sitting up on her bed, she stretched both arms over her head as she stood up. "Coming!" She yelled. Aster walked to the door, turned the knob, and pulled the door open. Her other hand was rubbing an eye as she tried to snap herself out of drowsiness. There, she saw a pink haired waitress with a table filled with delicious meals ready to be eaten. [break][break] However, her attention was more on the waitress than the food itself. She looked... familiar. Staring at her for a second, Aster gave a weary smile while she further opened the door for the waitress to push in the table. "Please, come in." She said. "You can set the table up near the bed." She continued while she walked towards the bed. [break][break] "Thank you for the free room service. While it isn't needed, it is greatly appreciated." Aster spoke. "But, pardon for the sudden claim, but I feel as if I've seen you before... and not the hotel, as far as I remember." She said.
